Explore Mount Rushmore in the Winter

This special winter sightseeing tour begins Fort Hays Old West Town/Dances with Wolves Movie Set then carves it’s way through the Black Hills to visit Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. This special 4-5 hour guided sightseeing tour of Mt Rushmore Monument and Crazy Horse Memorial starts at 9:00 am. Please check in to the headquarters building no later than 8:30 am. If you don’t have transportation and need a hotel pick, please call for special arrangements/pricing.

Itinerary

9:00 AM
  • Pick-up at your hotel in Rapid City
  • Mount Rushmore National Memorial:
    • We spend at least an hour visiting Mount Rushmore. We have plenty of time to see all the park has to offer, including the sculptors’ studio and the Lincoln Borglum Museum.
  • Crazy Horse Memorial:
    • We stay for at least an hour as we visit the largest mountain carving in the world. You can visit the memorial and museums and learn about the sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski in his home studio museum.
